  1. hey I am a resident of Motootua for like the whole 25 yrs of my life and I was attack by a pack of dogs in front of Maroon Boys and only one of those brown, interbreed floppy dogs attack me. You are just so lucky I do not have that a bad attack. I THINK YOU PEOPLE SHOULD SHARPER UP YOUR SO CALLED SCHEME ACT....TAKEN TOO LONG AND WE RESIDENTS ARE SICK AND TIRED OF HEARING YOUR NOTHINGNESS. GET A MOVE ON ...ACT ON IT AS SOON AS I CHECK THOSE OWNERS OF EACH DOGS ...i think you should be the blame for these pack of dogs. Unfortunately some residents here are unfortunate that i do not need to go far into details. Please do something I am already taken my comment to the POLICE STATION ...

  2. Its not only up to organisations like APS to be responsible for the actions of the public, people have to stand up and take responsibility for there own actions and only through education can the community develop and gain the knowledge needed to clean up the animal (mainly dogs) problem in samoa. I think everyone who is affected by this problem should act, and not just leave iot up to this organisation to clean up a mess, you as the public have created.

  3. APS could do so much more. I've heard of many people offering to volunteer their services to raise awareness and money for APS only to be told they are not required or simply ignored by APS. If APS can't make a difference it's time they let the funded money go to someone else.

  4. To the resident of Motootua - it is because of ignorant people like you that others end up trying to help the poor animals of Samoa. APS is a NON PROFIT organisation of people who are trying to animals who would not be in the unfortunate, starving, flea ridden situation they are currently in if it were not for the UNCARING people who neglected them in the fist place!! When peopletry to help WITHOUT BEING PAID others like you should appreciate it instead of criticising. You should be ashamed.

  5. As a tourist to Samoa I am appalled by the condition of your dogs. For supposedly christian people to treat gods creatures like this is disgusting. Has it been suggested to the Government to bring in a dessexing programme which is free and have all the male dogs fixd and the problem would then cure its self. I tell you it puts me off coming back to your country.

  7. I have just returned from Savaii, a lovely island, but a shocking place for cats and dogs. They are neglected, abused, killed, stones are thrown at them, kittens have their necks broken, others are drowned, others die of starvation. I stayed 7 days at Vacation Rentals on Manase beach and there was one healthy and friendly cat I began taking care of. An employee got her, stuffed her in a bag, swung the bag against a tree and then used a heavy rock to end her life. I screamed and wailed that such a creature could be slaughtered like this. The young male employee admitted to doing this. He goes free to continue to abuse animals as there are no cruelty laws. For a religious country this is shocking. Never visit Samoa if you respect companion animals.

  8. I think it is also shameful that the website could be hijacked by an ugg boot site. The owners of the site should be prosecuted and made to give up the name, and l;et the site go back to the Animal Protection Society!!
